In this article I am going to give you ways to naturally strengthen and balance your immune system to help you stay safe and healthy.
"Fighting Sickness"
Everyone gets sick at some point in their life, and when that happens we generally go straight for the over the counter medicines. At times those can be beneficial, but if used too often can lead to an overall compromised immune system. Getting sick happens when our immune system is compromised, which can be caused by the following: (lack of sleep, over exercising, stress, environmental toxins and much more). Learning how to fight off sickness naturally can overall strengthen your immune system and help your body fight off sickness much faster. Some key tips for fighting off sickness;
Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to help flush out the toxins. Water is the most important nutrient next to oxygen. Make it a priority to drink plenty of water, up to a gallon a day to stay properly hydrated.
A Nourishing Soup: Consuming a healing and nutrient dense soup will help your bodies immune cells fight off the sickness much quicker along with supplying your body the nutrients it needs to strengthen your immune system. A great example of a healing soup is the following ingredients: (serving size depends on individual)
Organic/Low sodium bone broth
Ginger
Kale
Carrots
Celery
Sweet potato chopped into cubes
Chicken breast cooked and shredded (optional)
Parsley

Stress your body out!
How does stress help strengthen the immune system? Through working out you tear down your muscles (aka stressing your muscles) and afterwards begins the rebuilding process which then overtime makes them stronger. Same thing applies to all the other systems in our body.
How do you stress out your immune system? By putting yourself in extreme temperature changes, such as (Hot & Cold). That sounds complicated but it as easy as taking a shower.
A routine you can try at home is this:
Hot water: 5 minutes
Cold water: 3 minutes
Total for 3 rounds of each
Exercise regularly!
By exercise I mean just stay active! Activities such as running, walking, weight lifting, playing your favorite sport, it really is whatever you find joy in doing. I recommend that you stay active at least (3-6) days a week for 30-45 minutes.
Stay relaxed!
Meditate regularly to keep your mind and body relaxed. I recommend (2-5) minutes of deep breathing each day. You can increase as you grow more comfortable with it.
Get quality sleep!
Make sleep a priority, and I mean good sleep. One example is to get good quality sleep is by shutting down devices at least (1-2) hours before bed. Also aim for (6-8) hours of sleep a night.
Eat a ton of nutrient dense foods!
